We learned with tremendous regret that our country has lost one of its most prominent academic figures in Electrical Engineering.
Dr. Caro Lucas, the well known professor of Tehran University, died yesterday at the age of 59. He was a graduate of Tehran University and University of California at Berkeley, a well rounded and brilliant man with undeniable impact on Electrical Engineering research and education in Iran over a span of three decades. In addition to all this and for those who knew him personally, he was a nice and loveable individual who, despite his constantly overbooked schedule, always had a minute or two to share with you, cheer you up with his pleasant smile, listen to your issue, and propose a way to move forward. In short, a great man has left us. |
