2026 SUTA Awards & Grants
The SUTA Awards & Grants Program celebrates outstanding achievements within the Sharif University of Technology community by recognizing excellence in research, education, innovation, leadership, and service. It also supports promising graduate students through financial grants that help advance their academic journey.
2026 Program
The Awards and Grants Committee is pleased to announce the kickoff of the 2026 SUTA Awards & Grants Program. This biennial program will be held for the ninth time in conjunction with the 2026 SUTA Reunion.
The program includes four award categories together with a dedicated Student Grant program supporting outstanding Sharif graduates pursuing postgraduate education.
Awards & Grants Committee
The 2026 Awards & Grants Program is managed by a dedicated committee operating under the supervision of the SUTA Board of Directors.

Award Categories
The 2026 program includes four distinguished awards recognizing excellence in innovation, lifetime achievement, alumni accomplishments, and outstanding service. In addition, a dedicated Student Grant supports Sharif graduates pursuing Master's and PhD studies worldwide.
Innovation & Lifetime Achievement Awards
The first two awards recognize groundbreaking innovation and a lifetime of outstanding service to Sharif University of Technology, science, engineering and society.
Dr. Mojtahedi's Innovation Award
Recognizes outstanding research projects and innovations across all disciplines represented by Sharif University of Technology.
- Open to all academic disciplines.
- The principal researcher or at least two team members must have an affiliation with Sharif University of Technology.
- Eligible applicants include current or former students, graduates, faculty members and staff.
- Established in 2010.
Dr. Amin's Lifetime Achievement Award
Honors distinguished scholars with strong ties to Sharif University of Technology for their lifelong contributions to science, technology, education and society.
- Recognizes outstanding academic and professional achievements.
- Celebrates exceptional service to Sharif University of Technology.
- Highlights contributions benefiting both society and the global scientific community.

Siavash Shahshahani, Saeed Sohrabpour, Reza Mansouri, Mohammad Ghodsi, Firooz Partovi, Mohammad Durali, Bahman Mehri, Hossain Poorzahedy and Behrooz Parhami.
Distinguished Alumni & Service Awards
These awards recognize exceptional alumni achievements as well as outstanding service to Sharif University of Technology, its students, faculty, alumni community and SUTA itself.
Maryam's Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award
Named in honor of the late Dr. Maryam Mirzakhani, this award celebrates Sharif graduates whose professional achievements have made a lasting impact on academia, industry or society.
- Recognizes outstanding alumni worldwide.
- Honors achievements in academia, industry and entrepreneurship.
- Established in memory of Dr. Maryam Mirzakhani.

Behrokh Khoshnevis, Mahmood Tabiani, Hesam Armandehi, Mona Jarrahi, Adel Ferdosipour, Azita Emami and Amirali Talasaz.
Dr. Hojabri's Distinguished Service Award
Recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service to Sharif University of Technology, its students and faculty, the alumni community and SUTA.
- Open to alumni, faculty, staff and supporters.
- Honors outstanding volunteer leadership and service.
- Recognizes contributions benefiting both SUT and SUTA.

Graduate Student Grant
SUTA Graduate Student Grants provide financial assistance to outstanding Sharif University of Technology graduates who have been admitted to Master's or PhD programs at internationally recognized universities.
The program aims to encourage academic excellence, support future researchers and innovators, and strengthen the connection between the global Sharif community and its next generation of scholars.
Who Can Apply?
Sharif graduates who have received admission to Master's or PhD programs at accredited universities worldwide.
Purpose
To recognize academic excellence and help talented students pursue advanced education and research opportunities.
Application
Applications are reviewed by the Awards & Grants Committee according to the official SUTA evaluation criteria.

All nominations and applications are reviewed by the SUTA Awards & Grants Committee according to the official evaluation criteria. We encourage qualified candidates and nominators to submit their materials before the deadline.

Submission Process
Complete the corresponding online nomination or application form and attach all required supporting documents. The Awards & Grants Committee will review every submission before announcing the recipients during the SUTA Reunion.
